If there’s ever been a time that we could all use a little laughter, this is it.
July has plenty in store in the Fox Valley.
Fox Valley Comedy will bring the laughs back to Appleton Beer Factory. Ladies, Laughs & Lagers will take place at 7 p.m. on July 18. Tickets are available at the Fox Valley Comedy website.
Appleton’s Skyline Comedy Club is back in the swing and will bring in some renowned talent in the weeks ahead.
They’ll start with an open mic night at 7:30 p.m. on July 1. The free open mic shows featuring the funniest of the Fox Valley take place every Wednesday night.
Steve Hartman and John Egan will perform 8 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. shows on Friday, July 3.
Mark Normand comes to town on July 9-11 with a 7:30 p.m. show on Thursday and 7:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. shows on Friday and Saturday nights.
Make plans to see T.J. Miller at Skyline during performances from July 16-19. Miller will perform at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday and Sunday and at 7:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.
Trevor Wallace will arrive for a July 23-25 engagement.
Wallace will perform a 7:30 p.m. show on Thursday and 7:30 p.m. and 10:15 p.m. shows on Friday and Saturday nights.
Skyline will close the month with Zach Martina, who will perform at 8 p.m. on July 31 and at 7 p.m. and 9:15 p.m. on Aug. 1
Oshkosh’s Backlot Comedy House has unfortunately announced its permanent closure as result of the extended covid-19 hiatus.
Thankfully, its performers are still at it and providing laughs and its an opportunity for those who aren’t comfortable in crowds with the virus swirling about.
The backlot crew is livestreaming performances every Friday and Saturday night at 9 p.m. Catch a show and don’t forget to leave a tip.
Those hoping to catch some live, in person improv will still need to exercise a little more patience.
De Pere’s Green Room and ComedyCity are planning to resume performances in early September.
