The Fox Cities Performing Arts Center today announced its closure and postponement of all events through April 12 as efforts continue to keep the COVID-19 at bay.

“We will continue to evaluate this fluid situation for shows after this date,” the center announced.

Gov. Tony Evers on Monday announced a ban on public gatherings of 50 or more as a measure to prevent the spread of the pandemic virus.

The PAC closure will close the curtain on “Jimmy Buffett’s Escape from Margaritaville,” part of its Broadway series which was to run from March 24 through 29.

Comedian Jon Reep had been scheduled to perform on Friday.

It’ll also mean a rescheduling of the Rainbow Over Wisconsin annual gala, which had been slated for April 10.

Alice Cooper had been scheduled to perform at the PAC on April 5, however the performer postponed his tour last week based on public health concerns.
