When there’s a need, the Fox Valley steps up to do its part.
It’s part of who we are.
And after the devastating tornadoes in Nashville, local musicians are coming together to help their brethren. It didn’t take long to put together what’s bound to be an incredible benefit show.
Mile of Love: Appleton Supports East Nashville will take place beginning at 6 p.m. on Saturday, March 7 at Gibson Community Music Hall.
Donations will be taken throughout the evening. They will be delivered to designated relief funds by several artists in Nashville who’ve been a part of the Appleton music scene, including Adrian+Meredith, Jamie Kent, Matthew Szlachetka, Andrew Leahey, Sarah Potenza and more.
A portion of bar sales will also be donated.
At least 24 people were killed in the Tennessee storm this week and hundreds of buildings were destroyed.
The all-star Fox Valley cast of participants is seemingly a mile long.
Musicians who will participate include Ross Catterton, Cory Chisel, Adriel Denae, Jacob Fannin, Michael Grabner, Bill Grasley, Christopher Gold, Walt Hamburger, Troy Heinz (The Raglanders), Eric W. Krueger,David Paul Martin, Elle McBelle, More Then Merry (Trio), Adria Ramos and Jon Wheelock and Steve Wheelock (J-Council).
Donations will also be taken for the cause on Friday, March 6 at the Gibson show with Kyle Megna & the Monsoons and the Live! at the OuterEdge show with Charlie Parr.
Get out your wallet and get out to listen to live music. There’s never been a more enjoyable way to reach out to those who need a hand.
