WAMI will celebrate a landmark year for the organization with honors for another landmark year in Wisconsin music.

The Wisconsin Area Music Industry released its nominations today for its 40th Annual WAMI Awards Show. The 2020 WAMI Awards will be presented on April 19 at Milwaukee’s Turner Hall Ballroom.

WAMI will host a party celebrating the nominees on Sunday, April 5 at 7 p.m. in Brookfield at The Saloon on Calhoun, 17000 W. Capitol Drive. The party is free and open to the public.

The Fox Valley is again well represented in the award categories. In the major categories, Unity The Band is among nominees for Artist of the Year. Stulo-Thiel’s “Ghosts Around Here” and Kurt Gunn’s “Northern Town” are each nominated for album of the year.

In addition to award presentations, the April show will include live performances and Hall of Fame inductions.

Tickets to the show are available at www.pabsttheater.org.
