Here’s your rundown for Feb. 10-16, 2020:

This week in Fox Valley history:

On Feb. 15, 1929, Appleton was paid a visit by one of the greatest guitarists in the history of the instrument. Spanish classical guitarist Andres Segovia performed a concert at Lawrence Memorial Chapel.

On Feb. 12, 1958, the Everly Brothers performed at Appleton’s Cinderella Ballroom.

On Feb. 15, 2008, another legendary guitarist performed in Appleton. B.B. King performed at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

This week in weather:

Expect a high temperature near 27 degrees on Monday. The high temperature is expected to reach 33 degrees on Wednesday before falling. A high of 21 is expected Thursday before the high falls to just 17 on Friday. Come Saturday, temperatures will climb back above the freezing mark. There’s a chance of snow on Saturday and a chance of rain and snow on Sunday.

Things to do this week:

The Okaidja Afroso Trio will perform Monday at Lawrence University. Okaidja is an Afropop singer-songwriter, dancer and multi instrumentalist from Ghana, West Africa. His music is a fusion of Ghanaian music with diverse cross-cultural influences. The performance, part of Lawrence University’s World Music Series, will begin at 8 p.m. at Harper Hall.

The Russian National Ballet will perform Cinderella on Wednesday at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

Sam Burchfield will perform at Riverview Gardens on Wednesday as part of the Rhythms and Brews concert series.

Pip the Pansy, a favorite of last summer’s Mile of Music festival, will return to Appleton for a Thursday show at the OuterEdge Stage in Downtown Appleton. The all-ages concert, which also includes B. Lilly, will begin at 8 p.m.

Never mind the snowstorm. It’s about time to welcome in spring and a great place to get planning would be the Fox Cities Home & Garden Show. The show will run from Friday through Sunday at the Fox Cities Exhibition Center.

On Saturday, McGuinness Irish Pub in Appleton will hold its 12th Annual Irish Heritage Day.
