Menasha episode of PBS series debuts on Thursday

Make plans for your easy chair on Thursday night, or at least make sure to set your DVR.

A community we know well will soon give a solid introduction to the rest of the state.

At long last, Menasha’s episode of “Around The Corner with John McGivern” will air on PBS Wisconsin. It’ll begin at 7 p.m. on Thursday.

“Menasha just doesn’t get enough credit,” the episode’s description reads. “True, this city isn’t the biggest in Wisconsin, and not even in the Fox Valley, but it surely is one of closest-knit communities we’ve ever experienced.”

The series features McGivern — an Emmy Award winning actor — exploring life in Wisconsin communities. The Menasha edition, part of ininth season, was filmed over the summer.

The episode will get a Wednesday preview at UWO-Fox Cities for those who scored some free tickets at city hall.

The Fox Valley has had two prior entries in the series, which is produced by Milwaukee PBS. Neenah was featured in the second season while Appleton appeared in season seven.
