Local creators of a game based on the quotes of Donald Trump didn’t plan to kick off their next big phase during his impeachment trial.

Yet it’s almost poetic.

The U.S. Senate will weigh on Trump’s presidency. After long development and extensive test play, the market will weigh on whether “Trump Roast” goes into production.

The party game created by Oshkosh’s Drew Mueske at long last launched on Kickstarter on Tuesday and its future will be decided by the end of February.

So far, so good.

Within two days, the project reached 20 percent of its goal.

Mueske and partner Adrian Mulloy have set up games throughout the region in recent months to fine tune the product and create some buzz.

The game includes policy questions to which players answer by playing real-life Donald Trump quotes. It’s a game in the vein of “Apples to Apples” and “Cards Against Humanity.”

Kickstarter is a crowd-funded website through which the project would only receive funding if organizers reach their goal by the end of the campaign. Trump Roast will only be produced if the campaign is successful. Payments would otherwise be refunded.

They’re looking to raise $15,800.

If the goal is met, they’ll get cranking with a goal to get their game sets to funders within three months.

They also see a big audience coming to their doorstep with the Democratic National Convention taking place in Milwaukee this summer.

Hopes remain high that the game will be, well … yuge.
