You might see Dan Davies if you head around Appleton.

You’ll be sure to find him if you fire up Netflix and pull up one of its trending new additions.

The 2016 Nollywood comedy, “A Trip to Jamaica,” went worldwide on Netflix this week.

Davies, of Appleton, co-stars in the film that’s held in the top 10 among the newest additions on Netflix.

“I am humbled and blessed,” Davies wrote on Facebook. “And it’s nice to be able to hold our own against the $150 million dollar budget Ryan Reynolds’ film ‘6 Underground’ which opened opposite of us!”

Davies has earned a name in the Nigerian film industry.

Davies was the first American to ever be awarded a Golden Movie Award, which is a top three film award on the continent of Africa. He co-starred in two films that are respectively the number six and 32nd highest box office Nollywood films of all time.

He’s also been busy at home.

In October, he debuted a new film festival in Appleton, “The Film Forte.” The second edition will take place on May 1-3.

But first? Settle in for some movies. It’s cold outside.

Davies suggests checking out the Reynolds flick for explosions, car crashes and adrenaline soaked action.

But while you’re already at the menu, “please check out ‘A Trip to Jamaica’ if you’d like a few laughs,” he wrote. “It’s mindless yet fun entertainment!”
