The Wisconsin Area Music Industry will look to play matchmaker this month in an event that’ll bring performers together with venues, talent buyers and agents.
WAMI is bringing its annual Fast Pitch event to the Fox Cities this year. It’s an opportunity for bands and artists to meet with those doing the booking in “speed dating” fashion and pitch what they have to offer.
The event will take place on Nov. 17 from noon to 3 p.m. at the Mad Apple Burger and Billiard Co.
Interest artists can pre-register by sending a private message to WAMI’s Facebook page. Registration will be acknowledged in a return message along with directions on payment through their PayPal account. All pre-registrants must be at the Mad Apple by 12:30 p.m. to keep their place in line. Registration for walk-ups begins at noon and spots are limited. It’s first come, first served and WAMI filled all of its opening for the last five years.
The fee per band is $10 for WAMI members and $30 for non-members.
Those who become WAMI members on the day of the event will receive member price.
