It’s never pleasant to have to say goodbye.
That might be doubly true when we’re talking summer fun and live, outdoor music. And though no one can halt the inevitable, Appleton Downtown Inc. figured a delay was in good order.
Appleton Downtown announced on Thursday that the Heid Music Summer Concert Series would be extended for an additional week. Next week’s free Thursday concert with RPM at Houdini Plaza was to be the last of the season. Instead, local favorites Road Trip will close out the 2019 season on Sept. 5. The performance will run from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Music fans can expect yet another bonus beyond that.
On Sept. 12, the Trout Museum of Art will kick off its 2019 “Jazz at the Trout” series and will use the outdoor, Houdini Plaza setting for the performance. Janet Planet will open the series at 6:30 p.m.
