The theater community celebrated the best of our region’s high school musical productions and as part of the honors, two students learned they’re heading to Broadway.

The Center Stage High School Musical Theater Awards were held on Saturday May 18 at the Fox Cities Performing Arts Center.

Matthew Wautier of Green Bay Southwest High School and Kyra Hietpas of Little Chute High School were named best actor and best actress, respectively. They will represent the program at The Jimmy Awards/National High School Musical Theatre Awards in New York City next month.
